The Stonewall Proud Employers Accreditation is a benchmarking tool and accreditation. It provides a flexible framework for applicants to assess and progress their LGBTQ+ inclusion work supporting them to foster safe and inclusive work environments where everyone can thrive.

There are four levels of accreditation to showcase your work and provide a clear structure for progression 

  • Accomplished: A strong start. Solid foundations are being laid, and meaningful steps are underway.  
  • Champion: Demonstrating consistent success. Influencing others through example. Actions are taking root and having a growing impact.  
  • Leader: This organisation is setting the standard, with impressive, consistent, and wide-reaching impact.  
  • Trailblazer: This is leadership at its finest. Trailblazers are at the forefront of change, with exceptional commitment and results that inspire others.  

You are able to submit your application at any time during the application window. Once submitted, Stonewall inclusion experts will review your application, and will be in touch within 8 - 12 weeks to share your result, your feedback report and to schedule your action planning meeting. If you achieve accreditation, you will be able to publicise this immediately.  

The important dates for 2025 are:  

  • 30 June 2025: The Stonewall Proud Employers Accreditation opens for applications.
  • 31 December 2025: Submission deadline
  • Spring 2026: Proud Employers Celebration Event
